Allman Bros. - Whipping Post
We heard this song in Ft. Worth and I've been on a big Allman Bros kick so here it is. Lots of things to envy here: guitar tone, guitar chops, and Gregg Allman's voice is awesome.
I definitely feel like the whipping post this week!
ReplyDeleteAny excuse to get on an Allman kick is a good one. On the "Best Bands to Drive on the Highway To" list, they have to be near the top.
ReplyDeleteShould have mentioned this in the Guitar Solo posting, but the dual-guitar solo in Blue Sky is my favorite solo of all time.
Even on a hardcore song like Whipping Post, you just can't help but be happy when you listen to them, can you?
