Nirvana
Spin released a free album today of various artists covering Nevermind. You can get it here. My favorite of them is Jessica Lea Mayfield's cover of Lounge Act. I'd like to know which cover you guys like the most.
Yeah I love Titus Andronicus. I'm fairly sure I gave you one of their albums on the flash drive. Its a little hard to get used to his voice at first because its more of a snarl than anything but its good lyrics and good music.
First of all, I forgot how awesome this album was and still is. I've never heard of most of these bands, so this was quite a treat. Have to say my favorite is the Butch Walker and the Black Widows cover of "In Bloom."
Another great surprise was Charles Bradley's "Stay Away." Groovy voice, and the style caught me off guard.
Sadly, although I think the Meat Puppets are classic, seems like they really phoned this one in...
I have to say that Breed by Titus Andronicus rocks pretty hard on this fun little album.
